Omar grew up in the country of Georgia and trained in Chidaoba(traditional wrestling) and Combat Sambo. He moved to the United States while in high school on a Water Polo Scholarship. Looking to get in shape and return to the grappling arts, he began training Brazilian JiuJitsu with us in 2015 and quickly became an integral part of our team not only as an instructor but as a successful Blue Belt competitor.
Under the direction of Black Belt Shane Zeringue, Omar has shown to be a great instructor in our 6am Beginners classes. Some of the qualities he possesses include but are not limited to his attention to detail, his prior training in other grappling arts, his willingness to help others and bring the best out of everyone in every training session and ultimately his dedication to the team.
